While my partner was delivering a lecture at Nizwa Hospital, I needed breakfast and fancied Indian food. I found Peppercorns on TripAdvisor and went along. It was about 9.00am and there was only one other gentleman in the restaurant. I ordered Masala Dosa. It took about 20 minutes to arrive so was freshly cooked. I must say that the Doas was lovely - crisp and fresh. The filling was perfect, spicy potato and other vegetables. The 2 dips, spicy curry and coconut complemented the dosa perfectly. The food was cheap. I was very full but very satisfied after my breakfast in Peppercorns.

After reading reviews about this restaurant here, we decided to try it out on our recent visit to Nizwa. Since we were looking for spicy Indian food, we asked the manager there about the spicy dishes which they had . He advised paneer tikka masala in Veg and a south indian style chicken gravy (I forgot the name!!) in Non veg. Additionally we also ordered dal tadka. The food was really spicy!! The serving was large and was more than enough for 4 of us!! The waiters (from north India) were very friendly and eager to know i we enjoyed our meal. The place is quite popular in Nizwa. By the time we left the place, it was already full with a lot of Omani families also visiting the place apart from Indian families. The prices are very reasonable. A must visit place if you are in Nizwa and want spicy Indian food!!!

Although the food was okay and reasonably priced, the service was really not good. It also didn&#39;t help that we had to swat away flies constantly- this inside the restaurant. Won&#39;t eat there again.
